Written by Leona Range If you have driven past Dobyns Bennett in the past couple months you've probably seen the obnoxious construction site at the front of the school. DB is building a new science and technology center for students! With the expanding numbers of students every year the school needs more space and this is also an educational opportunity to build more labs and classrooms within the school. The new building will be 70,000 square feet and will also hold 400 students. Luckily, for you upcoming students, this eye sore won't be here too much longer! The grounding breaking ceremony for the construction was in December and it is expected to be done in the spring of 2019! But until then you'll just have to get used to the frustrations of the parking lot and the long cold walks.
